Challenge

Running user acquisition for a portfolio of over 15 apps is operationally challenging and its complexity increases with multi ad networks and varying bidding strategies across 195 countries. At Amanotes, bid management was a manual process with substantial manhours spent to optimise bids managed by 3 dedicated PICs who handled large and medium scale apps with top hits like Magic Tiles 3: Piano Game and Duet Cats - Cute Cat Music. This manual approach not only consumed significant resources but also introduced risks of human error, such as incorrect calculations, inaccurate bids, and campaign overspending.

Solution

Amanotes uses Cost Center’s Bid Automation to identify bid opportunities and execute over 60 custom bid logic on a weekly basis. Their UA team is now able to filter metrics performance within clicks and optimise bidding logic based on specific metrics threshold. As a result, they can efficiently target high-performing countries and experiment with new potential geos without the risk of overspending.

Additionally, real-time Slack notifications triggered by bid changes allow the team to monitor their bids closely and respond quickly. This automation has not only minimised errors and reduced response times but has also freed up the UA team to concentrate on other crucial tasks, significantly enhancing their overall efficiency.
