Tencent mobile games have had a great run in 2022. According to Sensor Tower, the top grossing mobile game all over the world was Honor of Kings in August 2022. Honor of Kings earned more than $222 million in player spend!. A whopping 94% of this revenue came from China, 2.3% from Taiwan, and 1.8% from Thailand. PUBG Mobile ranked second as the top grossing mobile game in the same month. It collected a staggering $156.3 million from which 60.7% was from China - where it goes by the name ‘Game for Peace’.
